Dear …………………….:

Our work continues to this day with the increasing number of inmates at the New Bilibid Prison. As the number of inmates increases so the needs also increase since majority are visitorless, indigent, sick and old.

We at the Philippine Jesuit Prison Service Foundation, Inc. (PJPSFI) would like to thank you for your donation for the 28TH Prisons Awareness Week (PAW) last 18-25 October 2015. Almost 8,000 inmates in the different camps in the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City and Correctional Institute for Women in Mandaluyong City were appropriated with gift packs which contained toiletries, food items, used clothing and some over the counter medicines. Thank you for your compassion and mercy for our incarcerated brothers and sisters. Thank you for your generosity and kindness.

The PAW celebration was a big success not just in terms of being able to distribute gift packs but also because of the positive response to our invitation to some students from different schools, religious and civic organizations and parishes who visited New Bilibid Prison during the weeklong celebration. They actively participated in the immersion program and at the same time assisted in the packing and distribution of gift packs.

Once again, thank you for taking part in our mission of promoting and working towards holistic rehabilitation of our incarcerated individuals and their families. Please feel free to get in touch with me if you have any questions about our programs in general and if you want to visit New Bilibid Prison to gain experiential knowledge and directly experience on the issues hounding the prison. God bless you and your loved ones.

Sincerely yours,

FR. ELI ROWDY Y. LUMBO, SJ
